The History of the KTS
KTS stands for Kyowa Technological Steel Ltd., which was established by Jinichi Masuda in 1957.

Since 1960, KTS has been manufacturing a lot of stainless materials for watchbands by cold rolling process. Their products have been used not only on Japanese bland watch such as Seiko®,Citizen® but also on some of famous European bland such as RADO®, GUCCI®,BREITLING®,Baume & Mercier®, etc...
In 1982, they started to manufacture high precision profile wire for glasses made of titanium.

In 1997, titanium division of KTS was launched by Hiroshi Masuda in order to break new ground especially musical instruments. Hiroshi used to play guitar when he was junior-high and high school student and had been getting suspicious of the quality of the saddles on the bridge of his guitar. He was always thinking that we should pay much attention to these small pieces which directly contact the vibration of the strings. It didn't take a long time for him to decide to make the saddles with precision techniques of metal processing, which had been accumulated in KTS's long history. He selected Titanium for making the T.O.M. style saddles. The results were amazing: Titanium (Not only material but also KTS's heart and soul.) produced several excellent sound qualities. After that, Hiroshi lost no time visiting Dr. Matsumi Suzuki, President of the Japan Acoustic Laboratory in order to conduct a test to reliably establish the sound qualities of the Titanium saddles. You can see the result of the inspections at our site.

Since 2000, KTS has attended the NAMM show every year and nowadays, several top professional guitarists already have proven the substantial effects of titanium products.
